WELL BEING
Walking football is a great way to help you to stay fit & potentially relieve some of the symptoms of Parkinson's. It's a good way to meet new people, make new friendships, which in turn benefits your general fitness & well being.

Every Friday, we get together at the Brunswick Community Centre in Bootle for a training session that firstly caters for the Casuals, a time for the less competitive players to practice. Then we have our main session which is taken by qualified coach & 'gaffer' Stu Carrington who takes the time to get to know every individual player & their abilities, & delivers PD friendly exercises & drills, usually followed by a game.

If you want to take your walking football to the next level, we enter tournaments, which any player can take part in. In 2024, we have played in competitions at St George's Park (The Cure Parkinson's Cup), The Ray Kennedy Cup (A fabulous weekend in Norway) & are going to Glasgow in November to defend our Ford People's Walking Football Parkinson's Festival. You could be a part of what has become a special community where we are all there to support & encourage each other.

Sessions at the Brunswick cost £2 per person
